No Direct Train to Poland: Ukrzaliznytsia Plans to Cancel the Zaporizhzhia–Przemyśl Route

Why is the train being canceled?
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the decision is connected with the deteriorating security situation, which has resulted in a significant decrease in passenger demand on the route.
At the same time, train No. 79/80 Dnipro–Lviv is also planned to be discontinued from October 20.
Rail connections between Dnipro and Lviv will continue, however. Passengers can use other trains, including:
- No. 39/40
- No. 5/6
- No. 3/4
- No. 85/86
- No. 41/42
- No. 61/62
- No. 261/262
- No. 127/128
What does this mean for passengers traveling to Poland?
The biggest change will affect passengers traveling from Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro directly to Przemyśl.
After the cancellation of train No. 31/32, passengers will need to plan their journey with a connection. Ukrzaliznytsia indicates that passengers can travel via Lviv or Kyiv.
This means additional planning, waiting time and coordination between trains may be necessary.
Przemyśl remains an important gateway to Poland
Despite the changes to railway services, Przemyśl remains one of the key transit points for passengers traveling from Ukraine to Poland.
From Przemyśl, travelers can continue their journey to Kraków, Rzeszów, Lublin, Warsaw and other Polish cities.
For passengers who want to avoid additional train and bus connections after arriving in Poland, an individual transfer can be a convenient alternative.
