Route overview

The Lviv–Warsaw transfer covers about 400 km and takes about 7 h 30 min including a typical border crossing. This is a guide for travellers coming from Ukraine into Poland. The car leaves Lviv through Rava-Ruska, crosses at Rava-Ruska–Hrebenne, then runs via Zamość and Lublin to Warsaw.

The car picks you up from your address in Lviv and takes you to any address in Warsaw, including Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) or Warszawa Centralna station, so you can continue your journey by air or by rail. You will cross the border at Hrebenne–Rava-Ruska (Rava-Ruska on the Ukrainian side, Hrebenne on the Polish side) and arrive on the Polish side of the route.

02

Border crossing

Coming from Ukraine, you leave the country at Rava-Ruska and enter Poland at Hrebenne, on the Hrebenne–Rava-Ruska crossing. The same car and the same driver take you through, so you do not have to walk across, find a taxi on the Polish side or wait for a connecting vehicle.

A private transfer does not make the border faster or slower by itself: waiting time depends on the day, the season and the checks, and it varies. Check the live queue information published by the border services before departure.

After the Polish border checks, the car continues towards Warsaw without further changes. If you plan to travel on from Warsaw, tell us when booking so that we can drop you at the right place.

03

Stops along the way

The main advantage of a private transfer is a flexible schedule that fits around you. We plan comfort and coffee breaks every 2–3 hours at large, modern service stations. If you need one, you can always ask the driver for an extra rest stop.

Zamość and Lublin are natural places for breaks on the Polish side, with service stations and cafés along the way. We plan at least one break after the border.

Our vehicles offer a quiet cabin, reliable climate control and the option to charge your devices on the move.

04

Documents

Rules for leaving Ukraine and entering Poland and the Schengen area change from time to time and depend on your situation, so please check the current requirements with the official sources before you travel. Keep passports and any other documents you may be asked for in your hand luggage, not in the boot. For children travelling without both parents, check the current requirements in advance.

Please prepare before departure:

  • A valid passport or other travel documentFor every passenger
  • Confirmations you may be asked to showIf you are travelling onward or have a booking
  • Any extra documents for children or other special casesCheck the current rules before travel
05

Luggage and child seats

How many suitcases fit depends on the vehicle: the capacity of each one is listed on our fleet page. Tell us about your luggage when booking and we will pick a car with enough room for both suitcases and hand luggage.

What to tell us in advance:

Oversized items — skis, a bicycle, a pushchair, a musical instrument or medical equipment. We will choose a vehicle with a suitable boot.

Child car seats:

Certified car seats and boosters for children of any age. Just mention it when booking and we will have the car ready for your arrival.

06

Travelling with pets (pet-friendly)

We carry pets of two sizes: S — about 3.5–6 kg and 18–20 cm tall (a Chihuahua, a Yorkshire Terrier, a house cat) and M — 6–15 kg and 20–40 cm tall (a Cocker Spaniel, a French Bulldog). The animal must stay in a carrier for the whole trip.

We do not carry large dogs — size L (15–30 kg) and larger — nor snakes, spiders or other exotic animals.

If you are crossing the border with your pet, check its documents and the current rules in advance: a pet passport, a microchip and a valid rabies vaccination.

So the driver can prepare the cabin, please let us know when booking:

  • Your pet's size — S or M.
  • How many pets are travelling with you.

Lviv to Warsaw transfer: frequent questions

The essentials in brief. The rest of the answers are on the FAQ page.

All questions

The distance is about 400 km and the ride usually takes 7 h 30 min. Traffic and, on cross-border routes, the queue at the checkpoint can change that, so the driver leaves with a margin for your flight or train.

The price is worked out for your route, car and party and fixed when the booking is confirmed. After that, traffic, detours, weather or the number of suitcases do not change it. No prepayment: you pay after the ride.

At any address: home, hotel, station or airport. At the airport the driver waits in arrivals with a name sign and tracks your flight; waiting after landing has no time limit and is free.

Yes, transfers run around the clock. For early flights book in advance — the driver arrives at the agreed time.

Child seats and boosters are free — give the child's age when booking. Luggage depends on the car: each car's capacity is listed in the fleet, and the minivan takes large luggage.

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup. Cancel in your account or by messaging the dispatcher.
